Scandinavian stone sculpture by Bo Englund

Spriet is an organic sculpture created in the 1980s by Swedish designer and sculptor Bo Englund, featuring flowing organic forms in composite stone and a signed base. The complex shapes are difficult to achieve in this material, making the sculpture a remarkable example of craftsmanship. Englund was active as a sculptor from 1967 to 2022, working in bronze, clay, wood, iron and stone; Munkfors, where he worked, is also decorated with several of his sculptures.
