1970's large abstract wooden sculpture by Tineke Spaan-Schmidt
A beautiful wooden sculpture created in the 1970s by Dutch artist Tineke Spaan-Schmidt, with exceptional provenance as it was acquired directly from the artist’s daughter. Spaan-Schmidt created these sculptures both as independent artworks and as studies for larger bronze sculptures intended for public spaces. Particularly charming are the original pencil markings left by the artist herself, offering a unique glimpse into her creative process. The beautifully aged wood has developed a rich, warm patina over time, while the sculpture’s organic form reveals a different and equally fascinating silhouette from every angle.
