Unique dutch desk by Jean E. Borsje
This exceptional desk was designed by Jean E. Borsje and crafted in the Netherlands during the 1950s as a true one-off piece.
Executed entirely in richly grained rosewood veneer, it features an elegant free-form shape that reflects the experimental spirit of postwar Dutch design. The desktop has been carefully treated with a fresh oil finish, ensuring durability for many years to come while enhancing the natural beauty of the wood.
A rare and charming detail is the presence of the original design drawing, which accompany the desk and add remarkable historical value. The piece was custom made for a specific private interior, making it genuinely unique. Featuring three discreet storage compartments at the base, the desk is in very good condition and has been sensitively restored with full respect for its original character.
