"Stora Kraal" lounge chair by Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist for Nordiska Kompanie
This mid-century Swedish lounge chair, created in the 1950s and designed by Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist. It was produced by Nordiska Kompaniet as part of a modern collection aimed at a rising postwar youth market. Conceived during her studies at Konstfack, the design draws on the circular forms of traditional rural settlements and was later manufactured within NK’s Triva range. Crafted in Sweden, it combines lacquered metal, woven rattan, and brown leather detailing, reflecting refined Scandinavian Modern aesthetics. The chair remains in amazing original condition with light age-related wear.
