Set of two Brazilian lounge chairs attr. to Lina Bo Bardi

This set of armchairs, attributed to Lina Bo Bardi, is in stunning original vintage condition. there legs bear a resemblance to Pierre Jeanneret's Knoll Scissor Chairs, but the backrest features distinctive round horizontal wood crossbars.

These chairs (or similar) was featured in the 2014 exhibition by the Bardi Institute / Casa de Vidro, celebrating Lina Bo Bardi's centenary. Lina, an Italian architect who made Brazil her home, was known for blending modern design with Brazilian culture, embracing indigenous and popular art forms. Her furniture and architecture reflect this deep connection to local craftsmanship.

While we cannot confirm the set of chairs is for 100% certain from Bo Bardi, its 1950s Brazilian origin and rarity, along with its restored wood and new cushion, make it a unique and valuable set of chairs
