Italian desk by Studio BBPR for Olivetti

A rare ‘Spazio’ executive desk designed by Studio BBPR for Olivetti in Italy, circa 1960, part of the celebrated collection awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1962. The architectural steel construction is paired with its original desktop and a versatile separate cabinet that can be positioned freely to suit the space. The cabinet has been newly finished with a leather top, while the desk itself remains in beautiful vintage condition with an attractive patina and expected signs of use. An iconic piece of Italian modernist design, with examples from the Spazio series held in MoMA’s permanent collection.
